How a franchisor communicates and supports its franchisee community materially increases the likelihood of success for everyone. Equally, a franchisee representative who understands how to best communicate with a franchisor, can also provide value to the system. Encouraging feedback and the exchange of ideas are critical factors that drive a healthy dialogue across the entire community.
Franchisors and franchisees must have an open and respectful line of communication. Over time, changes may need to take place in the business operations- sometimes outside of the franchisor’s control. Additionally, franchisees may come up with new ideas that may benefit the system beyond one particular franchisee or location.
